Sometimes, my brain just throws these things out. Gouache paint and acrylics on heavy watercolor paper. 5 hours.

The first thing I noticed was the circle bearing symbols that resembled the zodiac signs. I personally adore the zodiac, so seeing that was a real treat for me and seemed to add to the mystism of it. The second, thicker circle is nice, but I think that the patterns could flow a bit better... make the checkerboard more geometric, perhaps? The actual picture holds a very mysterious quality to it, the background rivals something out of an Impressionist's painting. How the shades of blue fade into each other is very nice. I think the picture just needs a little refinement, but aside from that, it's elusive and original (:
Very pretty, the desigsn are ornate and well done, but they don't really compete with the silouhette. I like that feeling of the wayfaring stranger. :)

Thank you. This piece is definitely about the wayfaring stranger type figure- sort of a mythological version of Sergio Leone's 'Man With No Name'

this is amazing!! i love the colors, and as someone else said the feeling of the wayfaring stranger. i think you should cut the piece out for the presentation, because the brightness of the white paper kind of takes away from the overall effect. Or you could make that a new color.
Other than that, i give this a thumbs-up and a place on my favorites list!

Many thanks! I might frame it the way you've described.
